My day is going so much better!

Posted by krisguy / Category:

I had a bad night last night and overate right before bed. Woke up 2 hours late with a fasting 323 mg/dL. Two hours later, had 286, then took my Byetta, Metformin, and a Slimfast Optima. Exercised for ~20 minutes, and my sugar was 85!

How can I integrate all my diabetes data?

I just posted a thread on TuDiabetes.com asking how people keep track of their stuff online. I need to have mobile access and total portability. If you have any ideas, post them there.

When people find out I work for AT&T at a store, the first thing they do is look to st the phone in my holster or hand, to see what I'm carrying. After that, the next question I hear is "What do you do with it?". When I hear that question, I answer "Live my life how I want.", and then I explain how I get podcasts, music, directions, search for things, take pics and vids, and whatever I'm playing with that day.

I thought I would write about some of the things that I use every day on my phones.

The first thing I put on any new phone is all my e-mail addresses, then a custom background.

The next thing that I install is Opera Mini or Opera Mobile, depending on the OS (also Skyfire if I'm using Windows Mobile). Most built in browsers just don't hold a candle to the speed and functionality of Opera and Skyfire. By no means will you get Safari/iPhone quality, but it's very good for a small screen.

The next thing that I install is Shozu, so I have a consistant program to export my pics and vids to websites on the go. I also install Qik if they have support for the new device, due to their great live streaming service so I can get fun/important/time sensitive stuff up on the web as quickly as possible.

I'm trying to do more reading as well, so I also install Mobipocket and Audible apps. Mobipocket is a program that lets you read e-books on multiple devices. I chose this one so I have a consistant program across multiple devices. Audible lets me experience reading audiobooks when I don't have time or the ability to read the screen.

I install NewsGator on all of my devices and computers as well. I love RSS readers to make my own custom newspapers, and NewsGator syncs the feeds between your computers and devices, you it's easier to get fresh news all the time.

There are other programs I use specifically for BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Symbian, and Java based phones, but these are what I need on any phone I use.

New stuff here

I now have all my Qik videos available at the bottom of the home page, so when I post a video, I'll post a header to the bottom.

I also posted a ton of things on Twitter, and I need to get a widget for that as well.

My XBox Live Gamertag is now on the right sidebar as well.
