I went to Tammy's 20th high school reunion tonight. I left when Tammy didn't want to talk to anyone, and they started drinking. Overall, it was good. I loved the energy in the room, but going to people with your spouse who WAS in the class wouldn't go over well, so we left.
One thing was said tonight that hit me hard. Someone said that you just need to make time for your passion, no matter what. With your passion and work, good things happen.
I need to make sure that this happens for me. My passion is trying to keep my diabetes under control, Perl, and mobile devices. I want to make a social diabetes log. I've talked about it for years, but now I need to do it.
Starting tonight, I'm taking time every day to work on planning, and some time to work on coding. I am going to buy the new Catalyst book that just came out, and hang out more with the coders, to get back in the groove. I also need to do more journaling and writing to keep the creative end going for me.
I'm really looking for ideas to get this going in a disciplined manner. Anyone that has a good idea on how to proceed, please let me know.
