I'm trying to overcome a balance issue. I love the way that technology keeps me connected with lots of people, and I have met a lot of new people by chatting online. I love it because I can use my phone, PC, or the Web to talk to anyone I want to talk with.
My problem is that I don't feel I really have anything to talk about.
My day is working at an AT&T store, selling phones. I try to be as polite and understanding as I can. When I get home, I try to clean and cook and play with two boys. I hardly ever talk to my wife, and it's annoying.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
It's hard to talk to people about other cool projects when I'm working so much at my job and around the house that when I have 10 minutes, I write crappy self hating tripe like this.
Any ideas on how to restore the balance?
I had a good week last week.
My visit with my doctor was good. It was pretty quick, except my blood pressure is high, so I need to watch that again.
I'm still having issues with needles, but the auto-cover needles I don't have an issue with. I can even prick my fingers without thinking, all because I can't see the needle/lancet. I think a specialist might be helpful in getting me over the hump in needles.
Today, I started my 10mcg dosage of Byetta, and I'm loving it. It keeps me from overeating. I'm losing weight, only a pound a week, but it's a start.
Let's see how I can handle backing off the glimepride and eating.
The last few weeks have been good for me, sales wise, due to the iPhone. Finances are looking up.
However, my wife has been really cranky and naggy, and I can't get her to stop.
I need a hug.
I'm the type of person that loves finding new apps and new ways to use my phone, and it makes me happy to have new apps that extend my Web 2.0 experience.
Would people like it if they had a mobile experience that included free apps? I'm going to try an idea at work where I have a 8x10 sign in front of my terminal that showcases a free app or mobile site, hopefully getting current customers to use it and add data features. I'll try a mockup for Evernote today and see how it works.
I'm slightly upset that Apple decided to launch the new iPhone on July 11th. Of course, the new season of Burn Notice starts the night before, and I have to be at work at 6am.
I know lots of people are excited, both good and bad, for the iPhone 3G. Since I'm going to be one of the guys selling to you, here's what I need before you come in:
Be calm, it's gonna take a while.
Most people have already studied the plans and features, or have already come in for a credit check. Most people will already know if they are paying $199/$299 or $399/$499, but there are a lot of people that will just decide on a whim to get this, so we have to sell them through the whole process.
Those people that have an idea of what they want, make sure you have the following ready: cash or card for the equipment, cash or money order if you require a deposit, what plan and SMS you want, and you drivers licence. If you are porting a number over, then bring your bill.
If you know better, prepare.
