I love my wife.
She's a beautiful person, and when we decided to get married, she asked me if I could help her open up to people, and learn how to express herself.
Over ten years later, I'm the one that recessed to her level. I'm still an outgoing person, but only when I'm on the sales floor.
It's time to show my wife how this works.
I'm getting back into my online life again on a PC. I've gotten the essentials working on my phones, but it's hard to do video stuff if I don't have a N series phone.
Please add me as a friend to your Yahoo IM, MSN Messenger, last.fm, Twitter, Jaiku, FriendFeed, Dashwire, Brightkite == krisguy
GTalk and other google stuff == krisguy@gmail.com
My wife's Jaiku name is tammygainsforth, and she has a Brightkite account of tgainsforth1
After having a great breakfast at Valentino's, I've come home, started laundry. Tammy and David are Z. Alex is listening to podcasts on his "new" old iPod, and I'm playing around with Brightkite and cleaning/laundry.
If anyone wants to add me to their social sites, feel free, but put a note of where I know you from.
I'm trying to do everything via my phone today. No PC except if I need to do my job.
This is going to be a fun excercise. I'm going to have to remember if there are candid pic ops to SILENCE my phone.
EDIT: 8:30pm, looks like I'm home on my PC. Sorry.
I thought that when you are working, you should put everything that you can into your job. I guess that's not the way America works anymore.
I'm just tired. Physically, mentally, emotionally; I don't know how to get out of it either. A good day at work would help: no one making fun of me when I show someone that you can do things like blogging, Twitter, YouTube videos, etc. during a presentation. Most people don't know what a phone can do now, and my coworkers seem to assume that they know it, everyone else knows it, or that if they don't use it, no one else would want to.
Assumptions ruin a good sales experience. That's why I ask a ton of questions, so I know exactly what someone wants, and that there is no misunderstandings.
Here's to trying to do it my way today.
For those that didn't know, my wife Tammy had her gall bladder removed on Monday, and has been in major pain for a month. Both items have made me more tense than all get out, so since I have no friends close by, I'm having a one-man geekfest tonight, on Stickam maybe.
I need to:
- Get my m0n0wall setup
- Move my 20" monitor to the bedroom
- Get Gentoo Linux installed on the Sun Ultra 1
- Get FreeBSD setup on the Dell Poweredge a friend dropped off
- Clean up my desks in the living room
- Get my wife's CDs ripped
- Rip my Looney Tunes DVD set and encode into XViD
- Learn more about audio mixing options
- Start a new podcast with "Tech Wasteland" in the title
This day at work is a pain. Everyone here is on edge, pissed, or just plain assholes. Haven't had any issues with the customers, they have been good.
Working on 2 big posts for later, but I probably won't get to them until tomorrow.
I'm really liking MediaFLO. The video quality is great for a mobile phone.
I'm at my Saturday morning meeting today. Going over phone insurance, MediaFLO phones (pretty cool), and new MEdia Mall 2.0.
Tammy is getting her gall bladder removed on Monday. I know it's not a huge procedure, but anytime a loved one goes under, it can be scary.
To all my online friends, here's what's going on. My wife is hogging the only functional PC now, and trying to keep up with Twitter via SMS sucks on a Windows Mobile device. Jaiku is worse. I'm getting annoyed with companies based in the US not developing for WinMob, but are developing for S60. C'mon, guys, WinMob outsells S60 in the US, and say what you want, normobs won't adapt in the US unless more cool apps come out for Windows Mobile and to a lesser extent, Palm OS.
